Linden Youth Performance Company is a space for committed young dancers to grow as artists, collaborate with others and experience the excitement of making and presenting original work.
Working with Linden’s Artistic Directors, Sara Macqueen and Christopher Radford, members develop their technical skills, musicality, performance quality and creative voice through Contemporary and Afro-fusion dance. The company places equal value on physical development, individuality, confidence and the relationships formed through working together.
Linden Youth dancers have performed at professional events, shared stages as curtain raisers alongside Linden’s professional company, and taken part in creative projects and photoshoots that introduce them to different aspects of a performing artist’s life. Many former members have progressed into vocational dance training, while others take the creativity, teamwork and self-belief developed through Linden into different paths.
Above all, Linden Youth is about relationships that last: creating an environment where young people feel supported, encouraged to take risks and empowered to express who they are.
