


Sara Macqueen is a contemporary dance performer, choreographer and teacher, originally from Wiltshire. She started dancing at Dorothy Coleborn School of Dance, Bath and Swindon Dance CAT programme.
She graduated from Northern School of Contemporary Dance with a First-Class Honours (2014) and has performed around the UK and Europe with companies including Sterran Dance Theatre, ME Dance Company, Midlands Actors Theatre, Earthfall, M Dance Company (Belgium) and Shelley Eva Haden. She has extensive experience in outdoor, indoor and rural performance settings, as well as TV and film projects. In 2022, Sara performed as a Featured Dancer in the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony, Birmingham, choreographed by Corey Baker.
Sara was Lead Artist on Birmingham CAT scheme from 2019 – 2022 and played a key role in developing DanceXchange (now FABRIC) school provision. She has taught for organisations such as Birmingham Hippodrome, FABRIC, Autin Dance Theatre and Birmingham Royal Ballet and Sense and is part of the Contemporary faculty of Performers College, Birmingham.
Sara founded Linden Dance Company with husband Christopher Radford to ensure that physical and mental wellbeing are being prioritised and supported in all areas of the dance industry.
In 2024, Sara was awarded the One Dance UK award for Health and Wellbeing in Dance, in recognition of her commitment to innovating and ensuring safe and inclusive spaces for everyone.
