Choreographed by Linden Directors Sara Macqueen and Christopher Radford in collaboration with the young dancers, The Unspeakable World is inspired by philosopher Alan Watts’ “Zen Bones and Tales” lecture and its reflections on the value of quietness and presence in the chaos of modern life.
As familiar patterns give way to the unexpected, the dancers explore what happens when we truly listen to and notice the world around us, rather than seeing only what we believe we already know. Moving between control and freedom, the work becomes a joyful celebration of trust, expression and the possibility of simply being.
